Global Exchange: Arts and Architecture A Tri-Club Themed Exchange

For our second global exchange, FFNI again teamed up with our sister clubs in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.  This time our goal was to explore the artistic side of Midwest culture, with emphasis on our rich architectural history as well as visual, musical, and performing arts.

The common thread that united the three clubs for this exchange was Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the greatest American architects of the twentieth century.  Born in Wisconsin, he began his career in Northern Illinois, and later returned to his home state.  Throughout his long lifetime, he created homes, industrial buildings, and public venues throughout our region.  Each club provided visits to one or more sites designed by Wright.

Twenty ambassadors participated in the exchange, coming from four states in the US, four cities in Canada, and one couple from Brazil.
